Print journals received week ending 31 August

Do you know what solastalgia is? It is a term devised by Glenn Albrecht from Murdoch University to describe the feeling of loss one feels in the face of environmental change. This topic is explored among other local issues such as bats, turtles and fungi in the latest issue of Ecotone. This is a North Queensland newsletter produced by the Cairns and Far North Environment Centre and located in our Special Collections in both campus libraries.

The July print issue of JAVMA, or  Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association has scientific reports on cats, dogs and horses. But if you want to look ahead, August and September issues are available online through our subscription.

The September issue of Australian photography signals the start of their Photographer of the year competition, along with tips and tricks.

Artists are featured in the August 22 issue of Koori mail, highlighting the recently held Darwin Art Fair.
