Ethnographic video online

Ethnographic video online is a new service acquired by James Cook University which provides streaming video of selected classic and contemporary documentaries in anthropology and ethnography.

Themes include language and culture, food and foraging, cooking, economic systems, caste systems, kinship and families, political organisation, conflict and conflict resolution, religion and magic, music and the arts.

Available to JCU staff and students from on-campus and off-campus at:
http://elibrary.jcu.edu.au/login?url=http://anth.alexanderstreet.com or via links in Tropicat (the library catalogue) or the library databases list.

The videos are from all continents and in many languages, with the majority in English. Those not in English have subtitles in English and all videos have transcripts in English.
