Detective Wayne is on the Case!

Those of you who were shocked to hear of Algernon's reported death will be pleased to know we have hired the best detective we could find to get to the bottom of this shocking murder.

Visitors to the Mabo Library Building in Townsville may have noticed the rather dapper giant-papier-mâché curlew wearing a suspiciously fake moustache surveying the murder scene. It is none other than the great detective: Wayne Poirot-Holmes!

Yes, we were also shocked to realise that our very own Wayne was descended from both Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot, but it does explain his odd dress sense and that bizarre fake-Belgian accent he insists on using. Besides, with such a fine pedigree, he's bound to get to the bottom of this most dastardly of mysteries.

Why, he claims he has already discovered something shocking and completely unexpected which he refuses to divulge to us. He's saving it for the "big reveal" at the end of the novel, apparently...

It's all very shocking, really.
