Mabo Library Redevelopment

Work has commenced on the first stage of the Mabo Library Redevelopment! We are in the midst of building a wonderful new space for you to meet and study. When we have finished, you will be have access to:
  • 24 hour Information Commons (student study & computing lounge)
  • new Learning Commons area with cafĂ©
  • new service desk for Library and Learning Advice service
  • a greater variety of technology enabled and collaborative study spaces
  • 3 new ilecture spaces – University centrally timetabled and bookable teaching spaces
  • new consultation rooms
  • new southern entry and exit
You will notice that the first floor of the Library is looking a little different these days, and changes will continue on and off for the next few months. The old staff area on your right as you walk in the building has been blocked off, as well as the area past the newspapers, including the rear stairs leading from the ground to the first floor.

The ground floor watercooler is out of action, you can access cold water from the coolers located near the toilets on both the first and top floors of the Library.

For more information and to follow along with our progress in transforming our ground floor, please visit our Mabo Library Redevelopment page.
