NHMRC revises its policy on the dissemination of research findings

If enacted, this bill will benefit publishers by putting significant limits on freely sharing US scientific research. The good news in Australia is that the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) has announced that from July, publications from research funded by the NHMRC are to be placed in the public domain (open access), for the benefit of researchers and taxpayers.
