Scopus Tips and Tricks

Are you making the most out of Scopus? Check out the tips below to improve your research experience!

What is Scopus?
Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities.

Analyse Search Results
The “Analyze Search Results” link is available at the top of the search results page in Scopus. It provides important insights into your search results with a visual summary of your entire search results list, allowing you to see key authors and leading journals in your area of interest.

Article-Level Metrics
Scopus’ Article-Level Metrics looks at both citation impact and levels of community engagement to provide you with all of the information you need to easily select which articles to read.

For more information, including a how-to video and step-by-step instructions, see The Scopus Article Metrics module: Pinpointing the best articles to read, fast.

Scopus Webinars
To really make the most out of all that Scopus has to offer, check out the monthly Scopus Webinars.

These webinars cover all aspects of how to use Scopus to its full potential. You can register to attend a live session or simply wait for the recorded session to be posted and watch at your own convenience. Once you have registered for one session, you will have access to all previous webinars.
