Labour Day 2 May 2016 - Opening Hours

Monday 2nd of May 2016 is the Labour Day public holiday.

The opening hours for Monday at both Cairns and Townsville will be restricted.

Opening hours will be: Monday 2nd May 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm.

The Townsville Mabo Library 24 Hour InfoCommons will be remain accessible as normal.

Tips for EndNote: Authors' Names

EndNote has very particular rules about how to format authors' names so that they appear correctly in your in-text citations and reference lists. Each author has to appear on a separate line in the Author field of the record, and *must* follow one of the following two patterns: Smith, John OR John Smith EndNote can take either of those patterns to make the name appear in the right format in your paper (you can use initials instead of the authors' given names). This can get a little tricky if your author is a company or corporation (like, say, James Cook University Library ) or a name like Dalai Lama or Dr. Seuss , which have to be kept in order rather than broken into the surname, initial pattern. If you simply type James Cook University Library into the Author field, EndNote will put it in your in-text citations like this: (Library, 2015) .* And it will put it in your reference list like this: Library, J.C.U. This week marks the First Anniversary of the passing of Vivian Charles Sinnamon (1953-2022). A beloved family member and friend to many in the Kowanyama Community and beyond, Viv dedicated over 50 years of his life to the cultural and environmental retention, conservation and regeneration of the region and its culture. He was a respected Elder in Kowanyama, where he lived and worked tirelessly to pass on the knowledge taught to him by Elders and scholars, and built on through his own studies, research, and practice. Viv's passing last year rocked the Kowanyama Community and the many connected communities from across the globe who had come to know Viv through his work and advocacy for First Nations'
