The 13th of February is UNESCO World Radio Day. This year the theme is 'Radio in times of emergency and disaster'. Radio still remains the medium that reaches the widest audience worldwide, in the quickest possible time. This includes North Queensland residents during cyclone season. All cyclone kits should contain a battery powered radio.
