JCU Library is excited to announce a Textbook Affordability Project grant round aimed at supporting teaching and helping first-year core subject stakeholders transition from student-paid textbooks to open educational resources (OERs) in their subjects. This initiative offers a fantastic opportunity to innovate and make learning more accessible and less costly for JCU students.
Indigenising curriculum OER textbook adaptation or creation grant
A $5,000 grant to develop an OER that embeds Indigenous knowledges/perspectives throughout the work. The work will support replacement of a student-paid prescribed textbook/s through an adaptation of existing open educational resource/s (OER) or creation of a new OER.
OER textbook adaptation or creation grant
$3000 grants to replace a paid prescribed textbook with an adaptation of existing OER or creation of a new OER.
OER textbook review grant
$500 grants to review an existing OER with the aim of replacing a student-paid prescribed textbook/s.
