Library Advisory Committee – Expressions of Interest

Are you a JCU student interested in your university Library?
If so, why not self-nominate to be on the Library Advisory Committee?

The Committee meets 3 times a year in February, June and November. Normally members serve for a period of two years.

The membership of the Library Advisory Committee includes one undergraduate student and one postgraduate student. Expressions of interest for the Committee are now being sought.

The Library Advisory Committee is an advisory committee to the Director of Information Services and University Librarian.

The Terms of Reference of the Library Advisory Committee are:
  • To serve as a means of communication between the University community and the Library
  • To provide advice on matters relating to library scholarly information resources, facilities and service provision in support of learning, teaching and research
  • To provide advice on the annual library materials budget
  • To provide advice on the annual audit of research publications to be submitted to the Higher Education Research Data Collection (HERDC)
To nominate for the Library Advisory Committee please email your name and contact details, and a brief explanation (no more than 200 words) of your interest/reasons for nominating and your preference for serving a 1 year or 2 year term.
