BA1001 (Time, truth and the human condition) Townsville campus students made posters bringing together topics they had studied throughout teaching period one. We have a selection of the best posters on display in the Mabo library on the first floor near the printing area.
Topics stretch from ancient philosophy, the black death, the witch hunting crazes of the 17th century, and social movements of the 1960's. Students made use of JCU library's extensive collection of print and online material for their work through the semester.
BA1001 was an excellent example of collaboration between the Faculty of Arts, Education and Social Sciences and the library via Helen Hooper(Faculty Librarian) and Kylie Bartlett (Learning Advisor) who together ensured that students began their studies in the Arts with a positive introduction to the resources available to them and help to develop academic writing and research skills.
