QR codes explained

Where does this QR code take you?
QR codes are a form of barcode. They're used for encoding information in two-dimensional space - like on magazine pages, websites, or billboards.

QR codes are tailor-made for quickly and easily linking to content on smartphones and tablets. Some smartphones come QR code enabled. However, there are also a number of free apps that can read QR Codes, including QRReader. Once you have downloaded and launched the app, all you need to do is point your phone's camera at the QR code you want to scan.
