The award is presented annually to JCU staff members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to assisting students with a temporary or permanent disability, injury, illness or health condition. The awards recognise the efforts made by staff to be flexible, consultative, proactive, and/or innovative in minimising challenges for students supported through AccessAbility Services. Students registered with the service nominate JCU staff they believe have provided additional support to help them with their studies.
