Scopus to cease support of Internet Explorer 8 on October 1

Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, with bibliometrics tools to track, analyze and visualize research. However those who access Scopus through Internet Explorer please be aware that as of October 1, 2015, Scopus will no longer support Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).

Following Microsoft’s directive to online companies to focus support on newer, officially-supported IE browser versions and Microsoft's announcement in 2014 that it would only support the most recent IE browser version with technical support and security updates, Scopus strongly encourages its users to also follow Microsoft’s directive by updating to more recent versions of IE or by using other supported browsers.

Scopus will discontinue support a few months ahead of Microsoft’s official deadline of January 2016 though so upgrade soon.

A quick guide to Scopus is available to assist in the use of Scopus generally and the Help pages offer more detailed tips, tutorials and videos etc

Go to the JCU Databases page to access Scopus.

Note: Compatibility mode in IE9 or higher reverts the browser back to IE7 or IE8 behavior. If you experience issues accessing Scopus using IE9 or higher, please disable the compatibility view mode in your IE browser.
