World Statistics Day is 20 October 2016 and the theme this year is Better Data, Better Lives. This day promotes the critical role statistical information has in the world, especially official high-quality data. This statistical information can then be used for informed policy making as well as measuring a country's progress. This is the second year this day has been observed and the UN General Assembly have now decided that it will be celebrated every 5 years.The JCU Library has a Statistics LibGuide that shows a variety of useful statistical databases and resources.
