Indigenous Literacy Day 2018

How you can help Today is Indigenous Literacy Day, a day for celebrating Indigenous Australian culture, stories, language and literacy.

This day also focuses on the good work of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. This national not-for-profit charity raises funds and advocates for greater access to literacy resources and improved literacy levels for children in remote Indigenous Australian communities.

JCU Library has a large collection of Indigenous authored titles. One of our delightful children's books is My Country by Ezekiel Kwaymullina and illustrated by Sally Morgan.
