Are you interested in learning how Endnote software can help you organise and reference your research?
The library is offering workshops in both Townsville and Cairns tomorrow and next week, both face to face and online. Find a day and time to suit you and register online.
You will learn the basics of:
- creating a personal library of references for articles, books etc you find in your research
- exporting references from One Search into Endnote
- creating in-text citations in Word
- generating reference lists for your assignments
- outputting citations in the style your course requires
The Endnote guide covers all the information delivered in our workshop and more, plus short interactive tutorials explaining the main features.
We recommend that you have a good understanding of how to reference in the style you normally use before using Endnote. Endnote can save you time but it's just a software program - it won't correct mistakes that may come across with exported records or any typos you make adding references manually. You will need to check and possibly edit the references Endnote generates against the appropriate referencing guide.
Just a reminder that if you are coming onto campus in Cairns, you are required to wear a mask unless eating or drinking, or sitting in a room on your own with the door closed.
