"I know this is probably a stupid question, but..."
It’s normal to have lots of questions when you first start at uni. Everything is new and unfamiliar. Fortunately the library staff love answering your questions. It’s part of our job! So don’t feel bad if you need to ask a question. You aren’t interrupting us. We want to help you succeed and asking questions is the best place to start.
Do you need to know why the printer isn’t working? Where the toilets are? How to connect to wifi? How to find resources for your assignment? How to book a group study room? Where to register for our awesome library workshops?
You can ask us all the questions you need face-to-face at the InfoHelp desk on the ground floor of the library, but you can also use our chat service and our FAQs, or leave a question with us and we’ll get back to you. Find the details on our Connect with Us page. If we can’t answer them, we’ll point you in the right direction to find someone who can. The Learning Centre, AccessAbility, Counselling and the JCU Student Centre are all here to answer questions as well.
So don’t just sit with your 'stupid' questions - ask them! Smart, successful students are the ones who ask questions.
