Northern Australia Fellowship applications open now!

 

JCU Library Special Collections is proud to join with the Australian Historical Association to invite all historians, specifically postgraduate students and Early Career Researchers to apply for the Northern Australia Fellowships.

Win one of two $1,000 bursaries to dig into the depths of our Archives in Townsville or Cairns and make a significant contribution to the history of northern Australia or incorporate northern Australia more fully into the history of Australia generally.

To get ideas for more Northern Australia research projects you can view the holdings of the Library Archives here.  To ensure you are aware of all special collections materials pertaining to your topic consult with the librarians via specialcollections@jcu.edu.au

The award holders will also receive free conference registration for the Australian Historical Association 2025 conference, in Townsville, where they will present a paper drawing on the archival research.
