We are very pleased to announce the winners of the 2024 Open Access Week Awards. The University Library has always been a strong advocate for open and equitable access to knowledge. This year’s International Open Access Week theme continues last year’s call to put “Community over Commercialisation” and prioritise approaches to open scholarship that serve the best interests of the public and the academic community. The Open Access Week Awards are a way of recognising the great work our JCU staff and students are doing in this area.
The HDR Open Access Advocate Award (jointly organised with the Graduate Research School) is awarded to the HDR who has created the poster that best responds to the question, “How does Open Access help the cause of Community over Commercialisation?”
