Self-Service Holds

The Townsville Campus Library is trialling Self Service Holds. Items that have been requested are now located on our hold shelf in the public area opposite the Lending Services Desk on the ground floor. You can now collect your holds without queuing and borrow them via the Auto Loans units. You need to know the call number which is included in your email advice or if you need to confirm the call number check My Library Information tab on Tropicat and select hold requests. Items are shelved in call number order and should be selected by the requestor and borrowed using the Auto Loans Units. Items should only be removed from these shelves if you are the requestor. Should you no longer require your hold request please put the item in the Blue Bin at Auto Loans for cancellation.

These entries can be configured to conform to any bibliographic style you choose. The EndNote program may be borrowed from either the Cairns or Townsville Library Lending Services Desks. The loan period is two days. You will be asked to present proof of status and to sign a license agreement. Students utilising the Off-campus Library Service should co
